As a Certified Gerontologist, Certified Caregiver Advocate and over 20 years as a senior living executive, I ventured into the world of Agetech during the height of the global pandemic.  Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for an Agetech start-up here in Austin, Texas and networking with other Agetech start-ups through my consulting, I realized that there is a large disconnect between these innovators and educational institutions, researchers, government entities, regulators, healthcare providers, product vendors, caregivers and shockingly, older adults.

The lab is a secured and respected place that members can join in forums to network organically to meet each other's needs.  However, the real differentiator is the matchmaking capabilities of the lab itself.  The lab is comprised of an exclusive virtual forum as well as an exclusive BLOG featuring interviews, data shares and other valuable information for Agetech entities.

 

As a Director, with my past experience, I possess a unique skillset to creatively envision how entities of Agetech can work together to fill gaps created by limited resources.   I believe that it will take global cross-industry, interdisciplinary teams to create better products and services that meet our needs as we age and at the speed it will be required to provide a high quality of life for us all.

 

As long term and healthcare transition more into the homes of older adults and their caregivers during the current Silver Tsunami, the industry will rely on strong innovations to help provide this type of complex and currently fragmented form of care.  Working together, we can all help provide what all of us want...the opportunity to age where and how we want to with those we love and trust.  Join our collaboration laboratory today!
